Design Fest Hunt

When I started embroidery, I had no idea it had a complete world of its own. I bought my machine second hand with PEDesign to create my own designs. After hours of trying, redoing and retrying I finally came up with my design. A new addiction was born! Well... I don't think this addiction could be a dangerous hazard to my health. I wanted to learn more after I stitched out several designs I bought. How could they create such smooth running designs? Could I do that with my software? I joined serveral groups and lists to learn more and my did I need to learn more! My first designs were poorly digitized, but they stitched out pretty well, so that was the first hurdle I took. So I had to learn to let my designs run smoothly and asked a few friends to test sew them. They showed the results on several groups and people started asking if they could buy my designs, if I had my own website and it took just a few weeks to get my site launched on the 18th of October 2006.A year later Carol asked me if I wanted to join a project to create the largest hunt on the internet. Didn't have to think about that for long and here we are. In a short period of time I got to know a lot of people, got myself a family overseas, became a bear cub and more important we became close friends. It's really amazing how we all get along, there is absolutely no competition between us, just true friendship and the will to be a part of an amazing project.
